In 2010 Ulaan Baatar, the capital of Mongolia, was listed as the second most polluted city in the world.
Recently, Forbes Magazine has listed it as #1 in World's Most Dangerous Places to Breathe with pollution levels so toxic that it has changed the rating of Mongolia to the world's most polluted country.
Many first pregnancies, 2/5 or 40%, in Ulaan Baatar abort before term. Those that make it give birth to babies with high blood pressure, respiratory and other health problems directly related to the pollution levels.
These levesl must be lowered immediately!
At CanSolAir, we know we have the technology to lower these pollution levels by up to 50%. We decided to become involved, even if it meant finding the money to build an assembly plant in Ulaan Baatar and doing something to put and end to these pollution levels that reach 278ppm when the maximum tolerable levels are 2.7ppm.

Ulaan Baatar, a beautiful city, the coldest capital city in the world, is located in the north central part of the country. The city lies at an elevation of about 1,310 metres in a valley on the Tuul River. It is the cultural, industrial, and financial heart of the country. It is also the center of Mongolia's road network, and connected by rail to the Trans-Siberian Railway and the Chinese railroad network. Ulaanbaatar's downtown was designed by Soviet architects, developing the traditions of Classicism under the conditions of Socialism (Stalinist architecture). The buildings of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the State University, the House of the Government, the Opera House, the State Library and many other public buildings that were constructed during this period demonstrate the magnificence and elegance of European Classicism. |
